O God, I want to give more fully of myself to you. How can I sacrifice more to you? Prepare me to take share in Christ’s suffering. O God, you gave Padre Pio a small taste of your sorrow for sinners and he was utterly overwhelmed. My Father, I don’t believe you are calling me to death in the near future. But allow me to die daily to sacrifice myself daily to you.

Isaac made this image of the Sacred Heart for our wedding anniversary in 2014, when he was 15 years old. He chose the this theme because the solemnity always falls close to our anniversary. To make it, he used the kind of simple electric heated pen that kids use to burn rustic letters into wood, but found a way to finesse it.
